Staff Inspiration: Antonia, Our Embellishment Guru

Sometimes all a garment needs is a little bling. Do you ever wonder who comes up with the amazing ideas for rhinestone designs over here at The Line Up? It's Antonia, our embellishment guru! We asked her to give us a little insight on how she finds her inspiration. Here's what she had to say:

" Working at The Line Up has been an amazing opportunity to learn and create new rhinestone designs and patterns. I love coming up with different ideas for rhinestones. What I like to do is choose a simple outfit and make it sparkle. Something simple can become a beautiful dress or top with a little sparkle. How do I come up with ideas? At first glance, I think of a basic idea that will take the garment to the next level. I usually end up going with my initial gut instinct.

I get excited whenever there is photo shoot. There are so many different garments and designs which I can put stones on and express my ideas. I try to combine colors. It does not need to be exact color match on the specific fabric color- it helps the fabric pop! I also like to stone with multiple stone colors on different color sections of the garment. This also gives it different look. All the designs that I come up with are my ideas, however, of course I like to get other opinions! I like to combine our ideas to get a great combination for the perfect stone pattern.

One of my favorite garments I enjoyed working on was Eden Prairie Pom Squad's Sublimated dress, with the variety of stone colors and appliques, shown here:

My favorite web styles are the Duchess and Emanuella (below). Duchess and Emanuella were the first styles I had complete creative freedom to stone.

I would also thank to The Line Up to given me an opportunity to come up with my own creations. Thank you."

Not only is Antonia our rhinestone queen, she also is the master of embroidery, and spangles: our new threadless sequin!

We love you, Antonia! Thank you for making our garments spectacular.
