The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders (MVC) debuted a new uniform for the 2015-2016 season: a cute vest look with belted shorts they call "Summer" - perfect for those hot summer Minnesota days!
MVC New Uniform "Summer"
The team’s collection of uniforms has expanded the last two seasons for two reasons: variety and weather! The Vikings moved their games outdoors while they await the construction of their new U.S. Bank Stadium, which means both the players and the girls have to brave the brutal range of Minnesota temperatures: hot August days to freezing December winters. Their new ‘Summer’ uniform keeps the ladies cool in the heat.
Last year we created a winter jackets for the cheerleaders, made in a cozy fleece lined fabric to keep them warm on the coldest of days. The team also needs to look stylish on those brisk fall days. Stay tuned for the new fall look that will be revealed soon.
MVC Custom Winter Jackets
'Summer' was inspired by the 2015 MVC Cheerleader, Kaylee, and one of the rehearsal outfits she designed for her trip to the Probowl.
Every year the MVC Probowl representative works with The Line Up to design exclusive practice outfits to rock at rehearsals during the event. It's always exciting to see what designs the girls come up with to showcase their personality and style while still representing the Vikings brand. Kaylee took one of our classic belted shorts and halter tops found in our online store and layered the pieces with a custom vest. The team colors and branding were then applied to make the classic webstyles into a stand-out Vikings look.
Kaylee's 2015 Probowl Outfit
The Vikings loved Kaylee's Probowl look and adapted it for the team with a few simple changes. Colors and logos were swapped to create an entirely new look. We especially love the fringe detail on the vest - so true to the Vikings theme!
Fun fact: the MVC name all their uniforms so they can easily identify them. I mean, they can't say "Let's wear the purple one with the Norseman head!" because it they all can be described that way! Saves a lot of time and confusion.
