The Glamorous & Athletic Trail Blazers Stunt Team
When we first saw a picture of the Trail Blazers Stunt Team performing in the stands and on the court, we'll admit our jaws dropped just a little. The team was doing partner lifts, reaching heights well above the seated fans.
To see the stunt team in action - it's clear this group of 21 has trained hard in order to perform their impressive partner stunting and tumbling. Not only do they reach impressive heights, but they also represent the Blazers brand by leading and interacting with the crowd."We try to aim for a mix of glamorous and athletic," said Andrea Iverson, coach of the stunt team. "It is important in this sport that people realize these are all talented athletes, not just pretty faces, so we try to show off all the hard work these athletes have been putting in, as well as create a unique experience for every fan."
This mix of glamorous and athletic came through in their new uniforms - graphic leggings and a sporty crop top that let the athletes move freely while performing lifts.

Team Spotlight Q & A
What makes your team/group unique?
Our team has grown to be a family in and outside of practice/games. Your teammates become your best friends and alumni are always welcomed, included and respected.
What does teamwork mean to you? How do you rally your team?
Teamwork means that each athlete brings their individual talents to the team - leadership, athleticism, intelligence etc. - and uses them to help grow and improve all athletes on the team. We celebrate these individual talents to encourage the growth of all athletes as well as the team as a whole.
What is your favorite memory, or what are you most excited for this upcoming season?
This upcoming season has an amazing mix of talented team members and every time we throw a new or elite level skill together on the court. It continues to ignite the fire in each athlete to continue working hard and provide their best for the Portland fans.
What's your team's biggest challenge/opportunity this season?
With about half of the team being new, there is often a learning curve to get everyone on the same page and line of communication. Luckily we have a great group that is willing to learn and absorb new information so this process is consistently and continually getting better.
