You've found your perfect outfit for your pro cheer audition and are ready to order! Now the question is, "What colors do I get?!" With endless possibilities for color combinations for made-to-order styles, we get that it is no easy task to decide!
Every year, we get a lot of questions about the best color combinations for tryout wear, so we've compiled a list of the top three color options for your pro cheer audition apparel. Check out the list below!
1. Team Colors

Team colors are the most common choice for tryout apparel - and some NFL and NBA cheer teams even require it! For example, the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders require their candidates to wear purple, white, gold, or black to team auditions.
Despite these color restrictions, there are plenty of ways to get creative with incorporating your team's limited color palette into your audition apparel, while still putting your own spin on it to reflect your personality and style. If you're a sporty kind of lady, apply your team colors to a style with an athletic look. If you're more feminine, apply your team colors to an outfit with ruffles or a skirt!

2. Bright Colors
Brightly color audition styles - from left to right: 420-10 B V top, 420-121A top, and 420-207 top.
Make a statement! When in doubt, bright colors always stand out in a crowd and pop against tanned skin. This is a great option if your team allows for flexibility with colors choices, but bright colors could even be incorporated with your team's branded colors. Go for a brighter or lighter hue of your team color to make your outfit stand out!

3. All Black Everything!
All black audition styles - from left to right: 420-107D top, Chicago top, Aura top, and Gleason Mesh top.
Some teams require all black! This helps give some uniformity to the tryout outfits and candidates. But black tryout apparel doesn't have to be boring!! Spice it up with sparkly, foil or hologram fabrics to add depth and texture. Use sequins, lace or textural mesh to bring across your personality! An all black color scheme can give your tryout apparel some edge and sass.
