South Metro Dance Academy has been a Line Up customer for years, and always is extremely well dressed! Former Customer Service Manager Lindsey Stone teaches many lines at SMDA and always makes sure they have amazing costumes! Here are a few photos from their competition season, which wrapped up this past weekend.
Brenda Cranford School of Dance is a studio that is new to The Line Up this year and created their costumes by modifying the online style Colleen so that they could use Zsa Zsa sequin fabric! Their Petite Jazz group looks great in the lavender fabrics and we really enjoyed working with Brenda to accomplish this beautiful look!

Good Luck to our long-time friends at Dance Arts Centre in Chanhassen, Minnesota who is kicking off their competition season this weekend! The Line Up began designing costumes in October 2011 for the upcoming season, so we couldn’t be more excited to finally see all the costumes on stage. Thanks to Jane Foster for another great season working together – The Line Up is grateful to have been supplying costumes to Dance Arts Centre for over 15 years!

Platinum Dance Center was brand new to The Line Up this year and was very successful in creating their new costumes! For most of their designs, they used online styles and picked out their own unique fabrics to incorporate into the costumes. These dancers look great! We had a lot of fun working with owners Erica and Lexi this year and look forward to future projects!

DanceWorks Performing Arts Center had very themed routines this year for their high kick teams, and had some great ideas on how to incorporate those themes into their costuming! For their Extreme Team they had a Beatles theme and selected Sgt Pepper style tops in multiple colors. For their Dream Team they had a Ninja theme and selected a faux wrap top. They look so great!

We love when our customers get creative and piece together from different garments we sell in our online store. Studio Dance in Tennessee made an adorable solo costume by using the Taylor top and Zena skirt.

Hannah Johnson, a junior from South Metro Dance Academy in Lakeville, MN, recently competed her solo in the Talent On Parade national competition in Branson, MO. She won 4th place in the TOP Best Costume Soloist Award. The Line Up is so happy for Hannah! She selected and top and skirt (Wylie) from The Line Up web store www.thelineupstore.com. Her fabric selections were bubble gum zsa zsa, burgundy tricot and lace to complete the look. The finishing detail was adding rhinestones, which further enhanced the sparkle onstage! Thanks to Hannah and SMDA for sharing this award with us, we are so proud!

Check out these great pictures of the Sr Line dancers at South Metro Dance Academy in Lakeville, MN. The black velvet costumes with the birdcage veil was a dance to Amazing Grace by Ani DeFranco, a darker version of the song. The rhinestones on the back total around 1,000 stones in 4 different colors that were all done by hand! Our own Director of Customer Relations, Lindsey, is their teacher during the weeknights and created the costume and choreography idea.

Check out the Superior High School Dance Team in action! Casey Carlson, coach of the SHSDT in Superior, Wisconsin, recently sent us some great shots captured of the girls. This year, the Spartans are mixing up their performance by competing in the pom category instead of jazz. The Line Up appreciates you sharing the photos with us Casey!
