It's official – competition season is finally here! Among the many competitions and invitationals this week, our friends to the south just wrapped up their Iowa State Dance & Drill competition. In the Class 4 hip hop division the Waterloo Columbus Catholic Dance Team took first place for the third year in a row! And for the second year in a row, the team won the "Judges Choice" Award, which is only given to three standout performances of the day!

We've helped the Ashwaubenon Jagauress Dance Team create their competition costumes for over 5 years now, but we got started designing a litter earlier this year with the team's new warm-ups!

Going a different direction on a dance, costume and theme is a risk many teams take. This past year, the University of St. Thomas Dance Team (located in Minnesota, not the island) took a major risk with a one song, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z "Holy Grail" routine at the 2015 UDA College National Championship and it paid off! We were eager to bring their costume vision to life and match the "JT swag" they were going for.

Our friends at Little Chute High School in Wisconsin had a lot to celebrate this past season, and we couldn't be happier for them! Not only were they back to back State Champions in D2 kick, but their coaches, Beth DeBruin and Maggie Haen, were selected as the Wisconsin State Dance Coaches of the year! They were nominated by fellow coaches, team members, parents, administrators, athletic directors, and Booster Club members. Congratulations from everyone at The Line Up!
