So you're a dancer and you're about to graduate high school ... now what!?!  There are so many options to further your passion, but we know the possibilities can seem daunting.  It takes guts and confidence to make that bold move into the next phase of your dance life! 

Joining a college dance team or majoring in dance are common paths, but there are other options for dance careers as well.   We've asked some of our friends in the industry how they've stayed connected in the dance world into their adult life.  Find inspiration in their stories!!

The 2017 dance competition season officially came to a close last weekend with the 2017 NDA College Nationals!   

College dance teams have been known to sport a lot of unitard looks at NDA, but this year we saw teams mix it up quite a bit!  Check out some of our favorite dance costume trends from the competition (some by TLU, and some by others).

It was an exhilarating weekend for synchronized skating fans - the 2017 World Synchronized Skating Championship was held in sunny Colorado Springs!  

We were excited to be able to take a field trip to Colorado watch the international competition in person!  24 teams from 19 different countries competed for the world synchronized skating title - so much amazing talent!

Our favorite part?  The skating dresses, of course!  We can't take credit for these stunning dresses, but here are a few of our favorite costume trends from the competition!

A few trends we spotted?  Plenty of sequin lace, jewel tones, and romantic looks still rule for jazz costumes.  

For kick, leggings are still the favorite to emphasize lines!  But we loved spotting a few costumes that pushed genres like St Charles' football kick routine with a hip hop edge, and Chaska's Odyssey themed high kick costume with a jazz feel.

University of Michigan Synchronized Skating team took the Collegiate National title!

The synchronized skating season came to an exciting conclusion this past weekend with the 2017 US Synchronized Skating Nationals in Rockford, Illinois!  Teams competed for the national titles and a chance to go to Worlds!  What's next?  The Haydenettes and Crystalettes will be headed to ISU's Synchro Worlds in Colorado Springs this April, representing Team USA!  Congratulations, ladies!

Did you know each basketball team also sends one NBA dancer to the All Star game in addition to the players?  It's quite an honor for these talented ladies to be chosen, so we sent a special outfit to the dancers to celebrate!
